Catherine has completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (GDPA) through Deakin University and is currently undertaking Master of Professional Psychology at the University of Newcastle. Catherine is excited to be a provisional psychologist with the Myrtle Oak Clinic interdisciplinary team and is passionate about working with adolescents and adults through individual sessions. She aims to provide a compassionate and comfortable space for you to explore areas that hinder or challenge your current life experience.
With experience in Mental Health and Lifeline Crisis support Catherine brings skills of communication, understanding and empathy. Providing general counselling support, she works alongside the dietitian team to help you overcome the experience of anxiety, depression or other restrictive feelings, behaviours or emotions that potentially limit your ability to thrive in treatment and life.
As a provisional psychologist, Catherine is in her final stages of registration having completed her 4yrs of university studies. Catherine has completed specific eating disorder training and is supported by two Clinical Psychologists who provide weekly consultation and supervision. As a client of Catherine’s, you can be assured that you are going to be well supported by our team and be receiving the most current evidenced based treatment options.
Catherine is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. Catherine is accessible for appointments at our Wallsend practice or is happy to undertake appointments online via our telehealth options as required.
