Lauryn (she/her) is dedicated to supporting individuals across various stages of life within the mental health space who experience eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and histories of dieting. Lauryn is passionate about helping people foster positive relationships with food and is committed to providing a trauma-informed space for all clients within the neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ communities.
Central to Lauryn’s practice is a client-centred Intuitive Eating approach that aligns with the Health at Every Size (HAES) model. This weight-neutral approach is complemented by the RAVES model which she uses to help empower clients to cultivate confidence and freedom in their relationship with food. She has additional training in supporting adolescents with eating disorders through Family-Based Therapy, coaching families on effective strategies to aid their loved ones in recovery.
Drawing from her background in paediatrics and disability, Lauryn developed an interest in addressing selective eating and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Her approach is distinguished by creative and engaging methods individually tailored to guide clients in navigating their eating challenges. Lauryn has completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for ARFID, Neuroaffirming Care and Responsive Feeding Therapy to support her ARFID clients.
Known for her kind, patient, and compassionate demeanour, Lauryn is committed to coaching clients and their families in rediscovering enjoyment and flexibility with food. Outside of her professional endeavours, she finds joy in experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and unwinding at the beach.
Lauryn holds accreditation as a Practicing Dietitian, having earned her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University in Gold Coast. She has relocated to the Central Coast to join the Myrtle Oak Clinic Team. Lauryn is accessible at both our Tuggerah Clinic and available for telehealth consults online.
