Have you thought about calling us, but are finding it hard to pick up the phone?
Many clients tell us when they do call us that they have been thinking about calling us for some time. Common thoughts clients expressed they had before they called were:
“Am I sick enough?”
“What if they think I am being silly?”
“It’s not that bad, I can reach out if it gets any worse”
“I should be able to do this myself”
“No-one is going to understand me and take me seriously”
If any of these thoughts sound familiar, we hear you AND we are here to share with you, that any thought around food or your body that causes distress and/or negative thoughts/emotions warrants care. At Myrtle Oak, our purpose is to support you to live a life free from overwhelming food thoughts and spend time enjoying life again.
We’re here to support anyone who wants to change their relationship with their mind, food, and body.
Our client care coordinators take each call with the purpose of wanting you to feel heard and understood. They are warm, educated, honest, and passionate about supporting you to get the best care possible. With your permission, our care coordinators will discuss with you the next steps they feel are appropriate, however, it is up to you whether you pursue support from here, meaning, there are no strings attached when you call us.
Feedback we have received from clients regarding their first call are:
“ Thank you for taking my concerns seriously, I am pleased I called you”.
“ I was worried I was overreacting, thank you for reassuring me”.
