Bullying and harassment can take place at school, in the work place or even remotely over the internet, such as through social media. Everyone has a right to not be bullied or harassed.
Bullying may be physical, verbal, psychological or social. Bullying is not considered to be general conflict or not getting along with some else. Bullying is repeated and unreasonable behaviour. This may include (but is not limited to) abusive or insulting remarks based on gender, disability, religion or culture, being intentionally physically hurt, being excluded from activities, and unfair or excessive criticism. Bullying and harassment can impact on your self-esteem, your performance at school or work, and may also affect your mood through feeling depressed or anxious.
If you are concerned that you are being bullied or harassed, seeking support and guidance around this is important.
