Sany is a Registered Psychologist and is currently completing a Master of Clinical Psychology through the University of Newcastle. As part of her training, Sany is undertaking research into the psycho-social predictors of Binge Eating Disorder to subsequently inform best practice treatment. Sany is skilled and experienced in the identification and treatment of various eating disorder presentations across individual and outpatient group settings. She is trained in eating disorder specific therapies such as CBT-E and Maudlsey Family Based Therapy. Sany has also received training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and is skilled and experienced in the treatment of a range of other presentations, including anxiety, mood disorders, drug and alcohol problems, and trauma. Sany is an associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
